More About the Position:
All paid instructors are required to have the following:
• US Sailing Level 1 certification
• CPR training
• State motor boat safety certification
• A pirate accent, you know, ability to shout things like Aaaargghhh!, Blimey, and to call people "Scallywags".
Summer Schedule:
You'll need to participate in the Opening weekend where we get the boats into the water and open up the yacht club. This typically happens mid June (see Calendar for specific dates).
Following opening weekend, instructor training and orientation starts.
The season lasts 8-weeks and has a few regattas, awards parties, pirate days, BBQs, races and lots of fun along the way. Of course you'll need a willingness to be resourceful and engaged in island community.
Some years our sailors participate in the Beverly Youth Regatta, and we typically host 2 informal regattas with local Yacht Clubs. Our focus is on safety, fun, and enjoying the beauty of Buzzards Bay! In that order. And yes, you will be quizzed on this. Maybe.

THIS IS THE VIEW FROM YOUR HQ
You wake up to a view of the harbor on one side and Buzzard's Bay on the other. Housing consists of an apartment with 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom residence above the classroom. Staff is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the premises of course. But yep, you won't find a better view anywhere.
