Since even before its official launch in 1956, volunteers have fueled the Cuttyhunk Yacht Club. From six-year-olds painting N10 hulls to grandparents teaching maintenance skills, the CYC depends on the proverbial spirit of “many hands make light work” in order to continue to exist. The CYC is grateful to the decades of volunteers who preceded us and taught the current volunteers the ropes. We are as strong as our volunteers and investment from the community. As writer Elizabeth Andrew captured, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” Thank you to everyone who pitches in with such heart to keep this Club running!
